Description
HERE TO THERE is a unique example of Ray Hunt's iconic Surfhunter 25. She is hull #65 and the last of the Surfhunter 25's built by Hunt Yachts and features an upgraded Volvo 8.1 Litre “big block” V8 engine with 375hp with an upgraded OceanX sterndrive. This motor allows the boat to be run at lower rpm’s as fast cruise speeds with great fuel economy while also providing considerable additional power when the boat is fully loaded with a gaggle of family and friends aboard. Top end speed is an impressive 38 knots.
The Surfhunter was originally designed by THE Ray Hunt for the rough chop of Buzzards Bay. She has the legendary deep V hull with full 24 degree deadrise at the transom and 58 degree deadrise at the bow, with a wide flare forward to punch through the chop while staying dry. On deck seating includes handsome varnished ladderback helm and companion seats, a cushioned engine box with removable backrest and a full width (3-piece) cushioned stern seat which can be easily removed in parts or altogether to open-up the back of the boat for cargo carrying, fishing, etc.
An incredibly well built and darn good looking full bimini top (convertible), with side curtains and three piece rear curtains for a full enclosure has also been reinforced to accommodate radar- a signature Hunt feature. There is a cuddy cabin with V-berth, toilet, large opening deck hatch and two port lights, counter space with lockers and drawer, vanity with a cold pressure water sink. An optional additional filler to convert the V berth into a large double rounds out the cabin features.
HERE TO THERE is one of the nicest Surfhunter 25’s we have seen come to market. Recent mechanical inspection and service at The Concordia Company of South Dartmouth - home to many Hunts - insures she is ‘ready to go’. We invite your interest and inspection.
