The Back Cove 33 is one of the most popular and beloved Downeast-style production cruisers ever designed. Built by their parent company Sabre in Rockland, Maine, they are the epitome of a sure-footed, low-maintenance, fuel efficient cruiser. The single Cummins diesel runs quietly at up to 28 knots, sips fuel at its efficient cruising speed of 18 knots and allows for category-leading space and access in the engine room - not to mention keeps service costs to a minimum! This one in particular has benefited from a knowledgeable and diligent owner who has spent gobs of money on sensible upgrades over his 6-year course of ownership.

Downstairs, the cabin offers a comfortable V-berth as well as a large, L-shaped settee with a hi/low table that converts to a second berth. The head has a desirable, spacious stall shower. On the helm deck, a full galley stretches out aft of the helm seat and to port is a dinette which seats four adults. The dinette table is also a hi/low model that converts to a comfortable berth for additional sleeping options. Forward of the dinette, a double mate's seat is a comfortable perch for the navigator. The helm deck is airy and bright with overhead hatches, opening side windows and a center opening windshield. A Stidd helm chair provides comfort for the helmsman underway. In the cockpit a large bench seat allows comfortable lounging while underway or when anchored. Engine access is best in class, with the entire helm deck lifting to expose the mechanical space and systems.
The hull is constructed of fiberglass and multi-axial E-glass with vacuum bagged PVC core. It was designed with an advanced prop pocket to protect the propeller and to promote efficient running.
