CONSTRUCTION

Built by the Ellis Boat Company of Southwest Harbor, Maine, "No Frills" is a solid fiberglass hull designed by Ralph Ellis. PVC guard rails are covered with stainless steel half oval, her cockpit coaming is also covered with PVC. Molded deck assembly that includes the steering bulkhead. Solid port wheelhouse side with three windows. The platform is fiberglass with 3 hatches. A trap rack runs down the port rail and across the stern.

205 HP Caterpillar diesel with 8000 hours. BW transmission, dry exhaust, stainless steel shaft swinging a 3-blade bronze propeller, stainless steel rudder

LAYOUT

This 28 footer offers a good sized work platform. An aluminum rack runs along the port deck and across the transom. The engine box is centerline in the wheelhouse. Starboard steering with the pot hauler installed over the washboard, hydraulics below in the cabin. The companionway door is to port. Three windows in the windshield with an opening starboard window. Instruments, engine gauges, and electronics are mounted on the bulkhead and overhead.
