INTRODUCTION
With the 386 model, Sabre Yachts worked together with Jim Taylor Yacht Design to create a performance cruiser that boasts a high degree of finish and comfort. She offers two staterooms with double beds and a head with a proper enclosed shower stall, all while maintaining competitive sailing traits.
AVA has been well looked after with her one owner, sailing her summers in Narragansett Bay and being kept in heated storage for the winters. She has seen many upgrades including Awlgripped topsides and 3Di sails. Her interior is finished with teak and holly soles and cherry cabinetry.
ACCOMMODATIONS
AVA has two cabins which both offer double berths with comfortable mattresses. The aft cabin’s berth is oriented athwartships and has locker and drawer space along with a small settee at the entrance. The forward cabin has a spacious v-berth, hanging lockers, ample storage and a vanity mirror with washbasin. Both cabins have a warm feeling to them with their cherry cabinetry and planked ceilings.
GALLEY
The galley has a Force 10, 3-burner stove with oven beneath, along with a microwave. A two-bay stainless-steel sink is installed. The refrigerator has a small freezer section and is accessed by two chest-type top side doors, and also a side access door allowing for easy access to goods within.
HEAD
AVA was designed with a spacious head which has a divider door, making a proper, separate shower stall. The head itself is an electric Jabsco model and the 30-gallon holding tank is monitored by a Tankwatch 4 unit.
SALON
To port is an L-shaped settee which converts into a double berth that also serves as seating around the foldable salon table. The foldable table has beautiful inlay work and folds up into the forward bulkhead when not in use. To starboard, a settee runs the length of the salon and can be used as a berth as well. The aft-most section of the settee has a pivoting back rest which can convert this section into a chart table seat.
